Today when the 75th independence day is near,

Let's lend our ears to the story of fear

The struggle had non-violence and also gun

Banishing evils at night and in sun!

It all started in 1608

When the time was soo great

India had a very rich and recorded history

And Britishers invaded to began the story

Everyone was a slave under the British men

It was 1857 and the India wasn't free until then

The freedom fighters were born to win

And the voilence for freedom was never a sin

Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation

The non-violence was forever applied

Subhash Chandra Bose and Bhagat singh

Got self rule and for us they never died

The poetry of Rabindranath Tagore

Proved to be a freedom tool

The awareness for freedom was increased

The struggle was decreased

Sarojini Naidu, the nightingale of India

Led to the end of women slavery phobia

The marches, movements and strikes by the fighters

Extended from day to when we sleep

Everything wasn't a waste

Rather It built nations pillars deep

India became free and everyone celebrated

Everyone was fearless and unity was generated

We honor this very day every year

Our flag, old Glory and the sacrifices were clear
